Lydia and Enrique met through mutual friends in the summer of 2008. As they began to see more and more of each other at various outings, Lydia decided she liked Enrique and asked him out on a date. It went well, so she asked him out on another date… And then another one. Eventually, they were spending all of their time together ;-)
After dating a couple of years, and taking a few different weekend trips away with each other, Enrique decided he wanted to take Lydia to Napa Valley, as they are both lovers of wine. Lydia thought it was just another extended weekend trip, but everyone else knew what Enrique was really up to. Their first morning in Napa, he took her to a winery called Rutherford Hill. It was just before the tasting room opened, so Enrique pretended he wanted Lydia to come see something a little bit down the way. It was there, overlooking acres and acres of vineyards, that Enrique got down on one knee and asked Lydia to spend the rest of her life with him. She of course said yes, and the rest is history in the making!
